Titles Held

None

Greatest Match: 8/29/98 teamed with brother Hyman vs. Beach Crew Big Kahuna & Beach Blanket Bobby. This match was the MWF tag tournament final of MWF In Your Face 3 : Revolution Calling 98 . The tournament had seen both teams advance in impressive fashion to face each other to decide the new MWF tag team champions. After a hard-fought contest by both teams, the Piemen were ultimately defeated by Beach Crew, but they showed their respect for each other after the match by congratulating them in good sportsmanlike fashion.

Favorite Match: 5/16/98 teamed with brother Hyman vs. Meankind & DeathMask. This match became the debut match for Simon and his brother Hyman as they formed the Piemen tag-team. With the arrival of brother Hyman to help Simon with MWF matters, it bouyed his confidence, and translated this into their first tag-team victory.

Toughest Opponent: Choppah Harley. Formed a short-lived tag-team with Choppah Harley in one of Simon's early MWF matches as Flour and Gory as they faced and were defeated by the Coalition. During an autograph session, Choppah brutally assaulted his former tag partner power-bombing him thru the autograph table. Simon faced Harley many times following the incident, but could never achieve a 1-on-1 victory over him.

Most Hated Opponent(s): Kingdom of Karnage. Stemming from the infamous autograph table incident, Simon enlisted the aid of the MOS to face Choppah and his biker gang called the Kingdom Of Karnage. The KOK used brutal triple-teaming tactics to defeat Team MOS in a 6-man match at KOTR 97. The typically subdued Simon found himself violently attacking the gang after the match, however, and in essence, the KOK had succeeded in lowering Simon to their dastardly level.

Favorite Manuever: "Pie-cutter". This full-nelson reverse-russian legsweep combination has become a feared finishing manuever in the MWF. With the full-nelson applied, there is no way for an opponent to stop his face being driven into the mat. Simon executes this singly or in cooperation with his brother Hyman with devastating results.

Scouting Report

Strengths
: Personable. Loves wrestling as much as pie-making. Loves travelling to new towns, meeting the fans, and enjoying life.
: Pie Cutter. Whether performed as his personal finisher or in a double-team version with his brother Hieman, this full-nelson reverse Russian legsweep is an effective finishing move.
: Hyman Glieman. Career has been energized as his brother travelled from Germany to aid Simon in his MWF battles.
: Eager. Wants to become a top-notch wrestler. He always arrives early for shows and watches all the other MWF superstars in action to try and learn from them.

Weaknesses
: MOS. Was one of the first MOS recruits of Dr. Destruction, but his jovial attitude and wrestling style does not seem a good fit for the more harder-edge members of the group. At times seems to more often become the butt of MOS jokes than a valued member of that fraternity.
:Gullible. Makes friends so easily that sometimes he cannot tell whether or not he is actually being used. Choppah Harley, for example, was a man that Simon trusted, but turned on him when they lost a tag-match.
: Lacks Killer Instinct. One of the last true "nice-guys" in the business that does not realize that more often than not, the nice guys do finish last.

Career Bio

The Pieman Simon Glieman first entered the MWF at the 1997 Summer Showdown as a member of Dr. Destruction's Majority of Superiority. ("In Germany, we watched the MWF for years, and Dr. Destruction was a wrestler that seemed to always be cheated out of victories by wrestlers who seemed to be on TV all the time. So, when Dr. D sent out the call to bring in hard-working craftsmen to be trained to wrestle to join the MOS, I knew I could do it! I am a great pie-maker and very proud of my work. I also love the MWF, so I had to join! Now I am doing all of the things I have dreamed to do! I love the USA!"), Teamed with the Menace against Masa Sushi and Mr. Hiamoto the Orient Express. The newcomer Simon was pinned, however, and became the first recipient of the Express's new finishing manuever, the Sushi-flip. ("My first MWF match! They hurt me with the sushi-flip, but I knew I could be a wrestler after taking that! Dr. D was right!") Briefly teamed with Choppah Harley as Flour and Gory in a tag team title match against the Coalition. ("When I met Choppah, I offered him pie, and he offered me a beer. I did not drink, but thought he was very nice.") Was severely beaten in this match and pinned by General Nuisance. The following card, BattleBowl '97, arrived early to sign autographs, but was savagely attacked by Harley who was incensed that they had lost the tag title match. In a move that was voted the 1997 table spot of the year, was power-bombed thru the autograph table by the brutal biker which launched Simon into his first MWF feud. ("I thought he wanted Simon's autograph, but he was only there to beat me up and make fun of me. It was not right. I tried my best to win that match.") Tried to get revenge on Harley during the BattleBowl Battle Royal later that same card after Simon had teamed with the Mountain of Lust earlier and advanced to the main event battle royal but was eliminated by Harley. ("It was called an anything-goes battle royal, but I did not think that involved cheating to win. Choppah cheated, and threw me out.") At King of the Ring 97, sought aid from fellow MOS members Sid and Notorious B.O.B. against Harley's Kingdom of Karnage biker gang in a 6-man tag match. ("Dr. D, the Great White Hunter and Meankind told me they were busier with more important things, so I brought in Sid and B.O.B.") Although the K.O.K. scored the victory by pinning Notorious B.O.B., Simon was able to put the pie-cutter on Choppah outside the ring, low-blow Spike Harley, and body-slam Blaze Harley thru the timekeeper's table and leave in a token of victory. ("They made me very mad. I did not know my own strength. After the match, I wrote them all letters of apology. I never heard back from them.") At WrestleMania 97, was persuaded by fellow MOS member Wesley Kraven the Great White Hunter to wrestle old friend and tag partner the Menace. Originally, the match had been scheduled to pit the Hunter against the Menace 1-on-1 for the Menace to reclaim the mask that had been stolen from him by Kraven, but the Menace cited contractual clauses that he could not participate without the mask, thus a legal notice had been served to the Hunter ordering the return of the mask. Thus, the insulted Kraven enticed Glieman to wrestle in his stead against the Menace. ("I did not want to wrestle my friend the Menace. The Hunter made me do it.") The veteran Menace outwrestled the Pieman and defeated him to close out 1997. ("After Menace beat me, a girl came out and beat him. I was very depressed for a long time.") Resumed his own feud with Harley and Kingdom of Karnage when 1998 began. At Spring Fling '98 was delighted when his brother Hieman contacted him and joined Simon as a tag-team to battle the Kingdom. ("I was very sad without Hyman, then he called and said he was on his way! Simon was so happy again!") Seconded Hyman as he squared off against Kingdom member Spike Harley who was seconded by Choppah. Pandemonium broke out however between the two sides during the match and the result was the dastardly Kingdom leaving the Piemen laying. ("He had never forgiven me for beating him up at KOTR. Even though I wrote him and said I was sorry.") Was scheduled to face Choppah 1-on-1 at Lunatic Fringe 98 in the war to settle the score. Before that match, however, Simon seconded Hyman in a match against Brother Fiend, who manhandled Hyman and left Simon nearly unconscious as well. ("He was hurting my brother. I had to try to do something.") The opportunistic Choppah made his way to the ring at this point, however, and finished the job that Brother Fiend started handily defeating Simon. ("Why did everyone hate the Piemen that day?") Wrestled more frequently as the Piemen tag-team with Hyman, and began achieving instant success with an impressive victory over DeathMask & Meankind. ("That was my first victory! With Hyman by my side! I couldn't have been happier!") Were an entrant into the MWF tag title tournament which came about when the belts were vacated by the NWA's Brother Fiend and Bobo Bravado. Were scheduled to square off against Choppah and Spike, but Spike apparently had bike problems and no-showed the match. Choppah enlisted Phantom Shadow to stand in for Spike, but Phantom ended up turning on Choppah, spooky-cushion-ing Choppah, Simon, and Hyman before the Piemen were able to regroup and double-team and defeat Choppah to advance in the tournament. ("See! The Piemen beat Choppah! Ha ha Mr. Smarty-pants!") Went on in the tag tourney to defeat Magpie Magee and brief Magee associate Chester Travalenee and advancing to the finals before coming up short against the tourney winners Beach Crew Big Kahuna and Beach Blanket Bobby. ("We almost became the champions! We tried, but Beach Boys beat us.") After losing the match, howver, the Piemen congratulated the victors and both teams celebrated to the delight of the fans. Simon and Hyman closed out 1998 by teaming with Magpie Magee against the Reds and Chester Travalenee following a falling out between the Magees and Chester. The Reds attacked Chester after the match, however, and the Piemen made the save on Chester's behalf. ("The Reds were mean to Chester just like so very many people are mean in the MWF. We saved him! And now he can dance with us!") As always, Simon Glieman anticipates an excellent 1999. With brother Hyman by his side, the duo should try to position themselves once again for a MWF World Tag Team title match.
